Luceco Lighting Illuminates Müller Factory Expansion Project in Telford!
Muller has recently completed an extensive expansion project building a chilled produce manufacturing facility in Telford. The project has doubled the size of Muller’s current Telford site with three new state-of-the-art production lines, energy-efficient cooling facilities and automated warehouse.
Luceco LED luminaires have been installed in many areas including the cooling tunnel, dispatch, goods in and general plant areas, the installation work carried out by Lorne Stewart Engineering based in Birmingham. In many cases, the luminaires were required to be IP65 rated, robust, and capable of DALI dimming with connection to a central battery system.
Ceres Extra HighBay luminaires were selected for the principle production areas. IP65 rated, Ceres Extra benefits from a computer-designed die-cast aluminium housing with vortex cooling for maximum LED chip performance and provides over 100,000 hours of operational life and a luminaire efficacy up to of 140 Llm/cW. Available with on/off presence detection options, often a requirement in commercial and industrial applications, Ceres Extra offers 60, 90, and 120-degree lens variations.
Climate Extra was also installed in plant areas, comprising of a robust LED IP65 rated luminaire offering an efficacy of 140 Llm/cW and 50,000 hours operational life with increased performance for improved energy efficiency. Climate Extra is available with integral microwave sensors in on /off or 10% corridor function or batten fit PIR sensors as well as DALI drivers and emergency backup variants including Self-Test. An opal diffuser enhances the appearance and uniformity and polycarbonate construction with stainless steel anti-tamper clips ensures a sturdy luminaire that is a cost-effective alternative to traditional fluorescent luminaires for many industrial applications.
Platinum Mini Downlighters lit non-industrial spaces such as corridors, circulation areas, and staff rooms and features easy-fit positive locating swing-out tabs for quick installation. Platinum Mini, Ceres Extra, and Climate Extra are all ideals for use with sensors and lighting controls including LiteIP to further improve energy efficiency and has dimmable and emergency options available. LiteIP is an intelligent wireless lighting system requiring no complicated electrical installation and no limit to the number of luminaires that can be controlled and is compatible with all driver types including DSI, DALI, and 1-10 V. Other features include presence and daylight detection, energy monitoring and reporting.
Externally, Luceco supplied the Fortis Wall Pack to provide building perimeter lighting. Fortis offers an energy-efficient alternative to HID fittings with a 45W LED luminaire being the equivalent of a 70W traditional HID fitting, and a High Space to Height ratio providing the ideal retrofit alternative to existing Wall Pack installations. With CRI>80, Fortis Wall Pack is ideal for areas with CCTV and variants include standard output, photocell, and emergency options. Fortis benefits from ingress protection of IP65 as well as 50,000 hours of operational life – a strong contender in the exterior LED luminaire market.
